Acts 6

Acts 6:10

I was tempted to combine 6&7 because of the length of chapter 6. But i decided not to because i was overlooking what was in chapter 6. Stephen who is described as being a man full of God’s grace and power…………. FULL OF God’s GRACE AND POWER. Right there! Hearing that would picture him being 8 feet tall and a leader of nations and what not. I guess that has nothing to do with physical appearance . It was his heart..Actually he and 6 others were set in charge of waiting tables…….. Humbling serving God.

Lord give me a humble heart to serve you without question. Fill us with your grace and power! Amen

Acts 5:38

Leave these men alone! Let them go! With God with you who in the world could be against you? Who? Fighting God would be a one sided victory Im sure.

Lord i pray Help me not lose focus on you. That what ever im doing will be of you and not of me and that i can follow it passionately and courageously. That i can not lose hope. FOcus

FOcus . Amen

Acts 4

Verse:

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Reflection:

This is a very interesting chapter. My favorite so far. Unschooled, Ordinary men they stand up filled with the Holy Spirit in the face of the Sadducees. THE PLACE WHERE THEY WERE MEETING WAS SHAKEN! Come on! Its inspiring.

Prayer:

Let This Place Shake.

Acts 3

Verse: Acts 3:6

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

Reflection:

I though tthis was pretty amazing. Its one of those things that i wish i was there to see but at the same time i dont. Telling a cripple to walk in the name of Jesus is a big thing to do.

Prayer:

Lord you know my heart and everyone reading this. Give us passion for you and the courage to walk after you.

Acts 2

Verse:

Acts 2:45-47

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Reflection:

Putting aside the humor in verse 15! ITS ONLY 9 in the morning!

This is where its at…! Sincere hearts..! Its hard to come across some of those. I seem to lose grasp on what that is exactly These Days.

Prayer:

God Give Us SINCERE HEARTS! to follow after to you. To give up EVERYTHING and not just say that but actually lay down our lives completely for your kingdom. You know our hearts. Your in our hearts. Change them to you. Blow down some walls and take off the calluses. Let some passion rain down here in CT

Acts 1

July 29, 2008 - Leave a Response

Its been a very long time since ive posted so why not return with something worth blogging about Instead of my mundane life. Acts!

Verse: Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Reflection:

There is power in the Holy Spirit. More uncomprehensable than not it seems lately but i really do believe there is. THe hard part in my life is trusting that i think. Letting go of myself in other words.

Prayer:

God you know my heart and despite the many failed attempts at surrendering give me a heart after yours. Give me the passion to be a witness of you and the courage to follow where you lead.

Dog

Lets see. This is going to be an interesting post. I was looking at a dog… Ever seen a dog? Well if you havent get out of your hole in wall. Dogs are pretty incredible. They are the most loyal animal i know of. They have such unconditional love that it blows us out of water. They would go anywhere there master was without thinking. Dogs would probably do anything to please their master and i wouldnt hesitate to think that a dog would gladly give up its life to save its master from harm. Where does this come from? Why arent we more like dogs? God did a good thing when he made them. Also made some interesting decisions today.

Lets see. Ever feel like the more you try to make someone happy you cant please another? And in the end you yourself, after all the effort put in, are the only one miserable. Cant make everyone happy? Its an interesting circle actually. vicious even and if it wasnt myself involved i would probably laugh. Is that irony? Either way life continues. This isnt directed at any one person in particular just a overview of how things seem.
kind of everywhere at the moment. Have fun

Reading- Ecclesiastes 4-9

Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.

For God will bring every deed into judgment,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

It is the mind which creates the world around us, and even hough we stand side by side in the same meadow, my eyes will never see what is beheld by yours, my heart will never stir to the emotions with which yours is touched.
